Welcome to EPA Region 8 - Denver, CO - The "Mile-High City"

National Corrective Action Conference 2005
At The Grand Hyatt Hotel In Downtown Denver

You must register at The Grand Hyatt Hotel by April 8, 2005, to get the special conference hotel rate!
After that, it is based on current rate ($190) and availability.

The primary purpose of the National Corrective Action Conference 2005 is to bring together industries, community leaders, consultants, State regulators, and EPA regional project managers to have open and frank discussions on how to meet corrective action goals for 2005, 2008 and beyond.   Our primary focus; however, will be meeting the "2020 Challenge."

If you attended last year's conference, you are familiar with the "charge" given to us by then Assistant Administrator, Marianne Horinko, who challenged all who were in attendance to "work to address all your facilities subject to RCRA Corrective Action by 2020."

EPA continues to seek faster, flexible and more results-oriented methods to successful remediation processes so we can put remedies in place and show true environmental results.   We invite you to share your innovative thoughts and ideas with us.

This conference will focus on significant issues relating to Corrective Action, such as Goals for 2005, 2008, and more importantly, facilities that will be on the 2020 baseline.

A draft agenda will be posted to this web site at a later date.   Please note that the conference will include a poster session again this year.   Additional information regarding submittal of an abstract will be posted soon.

EPA Region 8 welcomes you and invites you to explore the many wonders there are to see in and around Denver, Colorado.   Scenic drives from Denver include Rocky Mountain National Park and the Red Rocks Amphitheater.   Restaurants and shops abound in historic LoDo (Lower Downtown) and along the 16th Street Mall, where "only in Denver" dining delicacies include buffalo and rattlesnake.   We hope to see you in Denver next May!
